Syerra is the choice for aggressive riders who want off-road performance and reliability in a sensible lightweight package that punches well above its weight class. The Syerra is designed to tackle the most demanding XC trails as well as all-day adventures, of mountain passes and descents in technical terrain and is the best choice for the increasingly popular down-country segment of mountain biking.
XC trails have become much more technical and challenging recently. Due to its improved robustness, the Syerra allows you to ride XC trails with more confidence, fun and composure. The Syerra is also a solid choice for riding easy trails. Because the Syerra offers increased comfort, it actually allows for long rides in the mountains.
Fundamentally, the Syerra is a great tire for all types of mountain biking, where more comfortable tires make everything easier and more enjoyable. The Syerra's tread pattern shares design DNA with both the Agarro and Mazza, but the weight is reduced and the rolling characteristics are improved. The pronounced shoulders and a defined side channel provide secure cornering grip and early response, allowing the progressive deflection width to hold the line in hanging corners with ease. Generous spacing is combined with strategically placed tread surface deflections; this allows the Syerra to climb up rock surfaces with loose scree and clean itself on the next lap. These deflections are built into Vittoria's tread blocks with ridges that allow the tire to maintain speed while providing a sharp effective edge for climbing and braking.
